- Manuel Rego will teach a class on growing kalo (taro) as a dryland crop in Kona, and give an introduction to identifying kalo varieties. on Friday, September 3, 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Mr. Rego will be assisted by long time Kona farmer Sunao Kadooka, and Garden educator Kamuela Naihe.
