- Time: 8am-8pm throughout Waikoloa Village. Wiliwili is an endemic Hawaiian tree that grows in the dry forest area of Waikoloa, and you can help the Waikoloa Village Outdoor Circle protect these old growth trees: support the cause and "green" your homes and gardens at the Plant Sale from 8am-1pm at the School; explore and enjoy Hawaiian music, hula and crafts at Highlands Shopping Center from 11am-3pm; then bring the keiki to the Bouncy House, "Slip & Slide" and more games, golf and music at the Driving Range, along with food and information booths, awards, and lots more fun, from 3-8pm. - Join partners Hawaii Island Humane Society and Petco at Kona Commons on Saturday, August 28 from 11am until 4pm for Adoptathon 2010. HIHS will have an array of pets ready for their forever homes. There will be face painting, arts and crafts for keiki, microchipping, humane education and Ask a Vet booths, along with fun, two-legged and four-legged contests for everyone.
