The Kailua Kona Library Book Club will meet on Tuesday, June 15th on the library lanai. Jamie Ford's novel Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet set in Seattle during World War II, is a story of the tribulations of Asian peoples during the time of Japanese internment, and even of the Seattle jazz scene of that time. It tells the story of an innocent passion that crosses racial barriers - and then, of the whole life of a man who forsook the girl he loved. Join us for a lively discussion and light refreshments. New members are welcome.
The Book Club will meet in July to discuss Peony in Love by Lisa See.
